Honoring our defenders
As a young man I was taught to respect the flag and all it stands for. As a young boy scout I was involved in my grandfathers funeral helping with the flag. Grandpa East served our country in WWII and taught me how to show respect to the flag and to my country. This week has been a great honor to be apart of a funeral for a young man that gave his life for me and the freedoms that I enjoy. Thank You for your service.
We picked up Eric Lindstrom from the airport and I was privileged to drive the funeral coach. It was an amazing sight to come back into town and see the people of flagstaff lining the streets from before Sizzler clear to the mortuary.
Many people attended the service. Men and women were in uniform everywhere.
May God bless our country and the men and women who serve and protect it!

Summer Fun
We have had some fun with some of our family in the last week or so -just good old summer fun. Easten, Emery Kadeen and there cousins Maddy and Jacob
Other family members came all the way from Texas and had a laid back time here. It may have been rough getting here, but being her was not hard work.
It was a rough life they had while back in Flagstaff for a few days
Grandma Bobbie even visted us while we were camping-look what she found

MY GARDEN
We are attempting to grow a garden this year. With any luck we will have some veggies to munch in the fall.
So far so good! These are actually plants not weeds-a shocker I know. Now if any peas actually grow then hopefully my plant killing days are gone! What can I say I'm a plant killer.
The butterflies and the lady bugs are enjoying our garden too!

Well we have added another monster to the mix-that makes four of them now! Rhett David was born May 21st and weighed 7lbs. 9oz. and was 20.5" long. He is now 2 weeks old and weighs 8lbs. 11oz.(the little porker). I guess you don't have to guess what I do all day long. The other 3 monsters are doing great and love their new baby brother. Kaden says Rhett is his bestest buddy, and even Emery has decided that we can keep him even though he is a boy-she has been a little bitter that she has 3 brothers and no sisters. Easten, who has an ear fettish, loves Rhetts little ears especially because they are pointed-like ELF ears. Scott and I have adjusted well and are doing great. We are proud parents of our beautiful little family-we couldn't ask for more we are very blessed!
The kids love to hold Rhett and fight over who is first. Kaden loves to kiss him and poke him and pinch him and squeeze him....
